About
I’m Lukasz Dlugajczyk, a software developer with over eight years of commercial experience. I work mostly in Python, on backend services, AI systems and the infrastructure that keeps them running.
What I work on
- Backend services in Python — APIs, integrations and the unglamorous glue that holds a product together.
- AI and LLM systems — retrieval, agents and model integrations, with an interest in what happens after the demo works.
- Distributed systems and messaging — queues, event-driven architectures and delivery guarantees. This is where most of my recent writing comes from.
- Data pipelines and MLOps — getting models and data out of notebooks and into something that runs on a schedule without waking anyone up.
Why this blog
Most technical problems look simple in the documentation and complicated in production. I write about that gap: what a system actually does under load, what a guarantee really guarantees, and what it costs.
Every post is meant to be verifiable. If there’s a claim about behaviour, there’s code you can run to see it for yourself, with the versions I used written down.
Work
I’m open to new opportunities, and I take on smaller projects for clients — usually Python backends, AI integrations or untangling a system that has outgrown its original design.
If any of that sounds useful, or you just want to point out that I got something wrong, write to me at hello@lukaszdlugajczyk.com or find me on LinkedIn.
